How does the diplomacy of the smallest country in the world work?
Despite its tiny size, the Vatican has one of the most extensive and highly respected diplomatic networks in the world. As a moral voice of conscience on the international stage, the Holy See engages in issues of peace, human rights, interreligious dialogue, and the common good 
The Holy See maintains full diplomatic relations with 184 states, as well as with the European Union and the Sovereign Military Order of Malta. Currently, 95 apostolic nuncios—diplomatic representatives of the Pope—serve in various positions around the world.
What does Vatican diplomacy look like from the inside? What challenges does it face today at the United Nations? How does it combine faith, international law, and global responsibility?
These and other questions will be addressed by Msgr Riyyan Chaves Mendoza, Secretary of the Permanent Observer Mission of the Holy See to the United Nations in Geneva 
During the webinar, we will discuss the role of Vatican diplomacy in the contemporary international system, its moral and mediating dimensions, as well as the importance of global institutions in a world marked by tensions, conflicts, and growing uncertainty
